Crystalline glazing is a highly skilled and time-intensive ceramic technique that transforms molten glaze into intricate crystal blooms. At temperatures reaching around 1300°C (cone 10), the glaze melts into glass before being cooled and held at precise points. This encourages zinc-silicate crystals to grow naturally across the surface — each formation unique and impossible to recreate.

This piece features a blue on mustard crystalline glaze effect, e.g.,  mustard base with delicate-edged  blue crystals reminiscent of feathery flowers such as Asters. Its vase's narrow neck silhouette makes it equally suited for displaying a medium bunch of blooms or as a striking stand-alone art object.
