These hand-built ceramic platters have been glazed with a feel of the arid centre with abstract carving. Purchase as a single or as a set. For the set add both sizes into the basket.
Use as a serving plate for that special occasion or just for display; this is an exceptionally unique piece.
Hand-built as a drape bowl or plate with a foot ring, this small and Large piece is great just for a centrepiece of a table setting.
This is white stoneware clay with a black slip and carved.

This plate is microwave, dishwasher and oven safe. Use them with love and care, and please use them frequently! Slight imperfections are a result of its hand-built nature.

Hand-made bud vase in Crystalline glaze in Browns and creams background reminds me of an agate.

About Crystalline Glazes:
The macro-crystals found in crystalline glazes form around a nucleus of zinc oxide crystal. In the right circumstances, zinc and silica oxide molecules will begin attaching themselves to the nucleus crystal. For this to happen, there must be an extended time at higher temperatures to allow time for crystal growth, and the glaze must have the right type of chemical composition.
Firing schedules for crystalline glazes usually require a soaking period plus a controlled down-firing ramp.
Crystalline glazes tend to be quite runny. Pots should be fired on a bisque pedestal-saucer to catch all drips. The pot’s bottom may need to be ground and polished after removal from the kiln.

The bowl was thrown on the wheel, then altered, glazed, and high-fired. The glaze has a combination of matte and glossy finishes. The interior texture of the glaze is created by how the glazes have merged, giving a speckled effect.

Handmade pottery snack-size chip and dip bowls are perfect for serving snacks with sauce. These bowls can be used for a variety of snacks, such as spring rolls with soy sauce, chips with dip, or my personal favourite, snack-size meat croquettes with mustard sauce. They can also be used to serve an assortment of your favourite snacks.

I initially made these bowls when my husband needed a place to separate his pistachio shells while eating.

These bowls are perfect for eating in front of the TV. You can place your snack on one side and the dipping sauce on the other, leaving one hand free.

Each bowl is glazed with several sprayed glazes and slowly cooled to give a mottled effect. Differences between each bowl are expected due to the handmade process.

All pottery is oven, microwave and dishwasher-safe with food-safe glazes.
