🏺 Buxton Pottery – FAQs

1. Where is Buxton Pottery based?

We are a small studio in Melbourne, Australia, creating handmade pottery inspired by local landscapes.

2. Are your mugs and bowls food safe?

Yes. All functional pottery is made with lead-free, food-safe glazes and is safe for daily use.

3. Are your pieces dishwasher and microwave safe?

Most of our high-fired stoneware is safe for dishwashers and microwaves. We recommend gentle handwashing for longer life.

4. What makes crystalline pottery unique?

Crystalline pottery uses a special glaze and firing process that grows natural crystals in the glaze. Each piece is one-of-a-kind.

5. Do you ship pottery across Australia?

Yes. We carefully pack and ship orders across Australia and New Zealand, with protective eco-friendly packaging.

6. Are all your pieces handmade?

Yes. Every item is wheel-thrown, glazed, and fired in our Melbourne studio, so no two pieces are ever the same.

7. Do you take custom orders?

I don’t normally take custom orders as Buxton Pottery is a small studio focused on creating a limited selection of pieces. However, if you’re looking for something similar to what you see on my website, using one of my existing glaze options, and the timeframe is suitable, I may be able to take on a commission. Please get in touch to discuss.

8. Can I see your pottery in person?

Yes. Buxton Pottery is on display at Ever Elegant, 464 Church St, Richmond, Victoria, alongside our online shop.
