Welcome to Buxton Pottery! My journey with ceramics began in the late 1980s, when I first fell in love with the process of creating pottery. I was completely consumed by it and quickly became captivated by the artistry. However, after having children, my path took a new direction, and pottery took a back seat as I ventured into the worlds of custom dressmaking and later an exclusive boutique selling unique occasion wear.After 30 years in the fashion industry, and with COVID bringing my business to a halt, my passion for pottery was rekindled, and Buxton Pottery was reborn.

Making pottery is now my creative outlet—mesmerizing, relaxing, and full of endless possibilities. I love experimenting with forms, colours, and the chemistry of glazes, especially the highly technical and visually stunning crystalline glazing on porcelain pots.

This process is the cutting edge of ceramic art, combining organic beauty with precise scientific technique. Each crystalline glaze piece is a unique work of art that requires both high-level craftsmanship and patience.
