This hand-made ceramic crystalline vase is a perfect shape for a single bloom or just a perfect display piece. It is porcelain pottery with a specialist crystalline glaze that is one of a kind; due to the process of creating these glazes, the crystals develop randomly, so these are one of a kind.
This pottery bottle has an almost mirror finish in a deep green. It is impossible to show the luxurious glaze at its best in a photo. There is a small blemish on the body of the bowl, It can be seen clearly at the end of the video it is a very small surface crack. The firing process uses a complex schedule with several temperature ramps to create different crystal growth formations. The kiln is fired to a maximum temperature of around 1300c (cone 10) and then cooled to specific holding temperatures to allow crystals to form in the glaze.

The effect of this beautiful glaze has come from a very special crystalline glaze, when fired, and slowly cooled; which allows time for the crystals to grow within the glaze.
