Ceramic bud Vase - Handmade small pottery vase- Porcelain crystalline vase made in Australia -Ivory
$90.00This hand-made porcelain pottery bud vase features a glossy golden ivory and blue crystalline glaze that develops crystals when slowly cooled after firing. It is ideal for small bunches of flowers or as a stunning ornament—a fabulous Christams or Birthday present. Each crystalline glazed piece is unique in that they cannot be duplicated. The crystals are never the same from one piece to another.
Crystalline glazes have a firing process using a complex schedule with several temperature ramps to create different crystal growth formations. The kiln is fired to a maximum temperature of around 1300c and then cooled to specific holding temperatures to allow crystals to form in the glaze. It can take from 3 to 6 hours to grow the crystals in the cooling phase.
