Warm and earthy, this handmade espresso cup combines a softly speckled buttermilk glaze with a rich red-orange lower section.
A narrow overlap between the glazes creates a naturally varied olive-brown band around the cup, giving each piece its own individual surface detail. The speckled buttermilk glaze continues over the rim and throughout the interior.
The small one-finger handle suits the compact proportions of the cup and makes it comfortable to hold while enjoying an espresso, double espresso or macchiato.
Each cup comfortably holds approximately 100ml.

Handmade Character
Each cup has been individually wheel-thrown and glazed. Subtle differences in shape, colouring, speckle distribution and glaze movement are natural features of handmade pottery.
The group photographs show the cups currently available. The cup supplied may vary slightly from the individual cup pictured, but all are from the same small batch and colourway.

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.
Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.
As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
