Bush Creek Altered Handmade Pottery Bowl

This one-of-a-kind handmade pottery bowl is part of my Bush Creek Collection, featuring flowing turquoise, rust, ochre, green and deep earthy glaze movement inspired by the Australian landscape.

The bowl was first wheel-thrown, then altered by hand through a process of adding clay, cutting away, reshaping and refining the form. This gives it an organic oval shape with gentle height variation, making it more sculptural than a standard serving bowl.

Glazed in my Bush Creek glaze combination, the surface has rich movement, with layered colour, glossy depth and natural variation across the inside and outside of the bowl. It works beautifully as a ceramic centrepiece, statement bowl, fruit bowl, salad bowl or special serving piece.

Each angle shows something different, making this a highly individual piece of Australian handmade pottery.

Materials

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.

Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.

All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Shipping & Returns

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.

As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.

Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Dimensions

Approximate dimensions are listed in the product description for each individual piece. As every item is handmade, slight variations in size and capacity may occur.
