Small, practical and full of handmade character, this wheel-thrown pottery jug is finished in a softly contrasting combination of speckled cream and spearmint green glazes.
The gently rounded body, compact handle and hand-shaped pouring lip make it a lovely jug for serving milk or cream with tea and coffee. With a 300ml capacity, it could also be used for salad dressing, gravy, custard or a small serving of sauce.
The speckled cream glaze extends over the rim and into the interior, while the soft spearmint glaze flows naturally around the lower body. Its irregular glaze line and visible speckles give the jug a relaxed, earthy character.

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.
Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
