This handmade stoneware serving bowl features one of those glazes that is even more beautiful in person. Layers of soft spearmint, seafoam and deeper green flow across the gently altered form, creating fine feathery markings, subtle speckling and areas of wonderful depth.
The photographs capture some of the variation, but the glaze has a luminous quality and intricate surface detail that is difficult to fully show on screen. Light moves across the glossy finish, revealing new tones and markings from every angle.
The softly undulating rim gives the bowl an organic, flower-like shape while still making it practical for everyday serving. At 21 cm across, it is a versatile size for salads, vegetables, fruit, shared side dishes or simply displaying on a table or kitchen bench.

This is the exact bowl shown in the photographs. The glaze markings, flowing colour and handmade form are completely individual and cannot be repeated exactly.
Small variations in shape, surface and glaze are part of the character of handmade pottery rather than imperfections.
Care
This bowl is suitable for everyday serving and can be used in the dishwasher and microwave. Handwashing is recommended to help preserve the glaze and handmade finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes. This piece is not designed for direct stovetop use or thermal-shock cooking.

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.
Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.
As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
