This small bud vase has a softly rounded belly, a gently narrowed neck and a flared rim that frames a few flowers beautifully. Its layered glaze moves through pale mint, soft blue-green and deeper green, with organic white mottling creating a wonderfully individual finish.

At 9 cm tall and approximately 8 cm across the belly, it is a lovely size for Australian wildflowers, garden cuttings or a small cluster of buds. Each vase is individually handmade in my Melbourne pottery studio, allowing the glaze to develop its own unique markings and character.

Care

Rinse gently after use and allow the vase to dry thoroughly. Avoid sudden temperature changes and protect handmade ceramics from knocks against hard surfaces.

Materials

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.

Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.

All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Shipping & Returns

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.

As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.

Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Care Instructions

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.

Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
