This handmade ceramic bowl is wheel-thrown and then altered by hand in my Melbourne pottery studio.
After being thrown on the wheel, the bowl is reshaped by hand to create a soft organic rim with gentle petal-like movement. This gives it a unique handmade character while still making it practical for everyday use.
It is glazed in layered seafoam green tones, with natural glaze movement, depth and subtle variation across the surface. The soft green colour makes it easy to use with neutral tableware, while the altered rim gives it a more sculptural handmade feel.
This bowl measures approximately 17.5cm across x 7.5cm tall. It is slightly larger than the smaller bowls in this style, so it can be purchased as an individual bowl or used alongside them as part of a relaxed handmade set.
Use it for cereal, soup, salad, rice, pasta, dessert, snacks or small serving.

Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
