Bring handcrafted Australian artistry into your home with this handmade crystalline pottery vase, created in our Melbourne studio. This elegant green ceramic vase stands 13.5 cm tall, featuring a deep green glaze enriched with dark metallic crystal formations that add texture, depth, and intrigue.
Its tall cylindrical shape makes it perfect for displaying a few stems, dried flowers, or as a sculptural statement on its own. Each crystalline vase is one-of-a-kind, formed through a firing process that blends science and creativity.
During firing, the glaze is brought to over 1300°C and then cooled gradually, allowing natural crystal growth to occur within the glaze. The result is a captivating surface pattern of metallic blooms—unique to each piece and impossible to replicate exactly.

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.
Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.
As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
