This elegant handmade crystalline bud vase has been crafted in my Melbourne studio using a crystal glaze that creates delicate flower-like crystalline formations across the surface.
Soft layers of pale mint, seafoam green, and creamy white flow together to create a calming, organic finish. The vase has a gently rounded shoulder and softly flared neck, giving it a timeless shape suited to both modern and classic interiors.
The crystalline patterns developed naturally during firing, making every angle unique and impossible to replicate exactly. Styled with a few stems or displayed on its own, this vase brings a quiet sophistication to shelves, coffee tables, and bedside styling.
Crystalline glazes are highly unpredictable and beautifully organic. Variations in crystal growth, glaze flow, and colour movement are part of the individuality of each handmade piece.

The interior is finished in a glossy green glaze, offering a smooth lining that complements the surface and allows for practical use with florals, while still being a standout decorative piece in its own right.

This one-of-a-kind crystalline bud vase is an experimental ceramic artwork inspired by galaxies, deep space, and cosmic movement. Handmade in my Melbourne studio, this vessel developed extraordinary oversized crystal formations during firing, with the crystals growing so dramatically that they have engulfed much of the vase surface.
The result is a mesmerising landscape of flowing charcoal, smoky silver, soft blue, and iridescent galaxy-like tones. Large circular crystalline formations spread organically across the surface, creating a celestial appearance reminiscent of planets, nebulae, and lunar textures.
Its elegant, rounded form and elongated neck make it ideal as a sculptural statement piece or a small bud vase for a single stem or dried arrangement.
Due to the highly experimental nature of crystalline glazing, this piece is completely unique and impossible to reproduce.
This vase is part of an experimental crystalline glaze series. Variations, movement, pooling, crystal growth, and organic glaze effects are intentional and celebrated as part of the artwork.

This one-of-a-kind crystalline glazed ceramic pot is an experimental piece inspired by galaxies, moonlit skies, and the shimmering beauty of mother-of-pearl. Handmade in my Melbourne studio, this vessel developed in an unexpected and exciting way during firing, with the crystals almost engulfing the entire surface of the pot.
The glaze features layers of smoky blue, silver-grey, soft violet, and iridescent flashes created by the addition of bismuth to the glaze. Around the rim, the surface catches the light with a luminous lustre effect reminiscent of opals, shell, or oil slick reflections.
Its softly rounded cylindrical form gives the piece a contemporary sculptural feel, while the matte turquoise interior creates a striking contrast to the glossy crystalline exterior.
This is a highly experimental ceramic artwork and completely unique — impossible to replicate exactly due to the unpredictable nature of crystalline glazing.
This piece is part of an experimental crystalline glaze series. Variations, movement, pooling, and organic glaze effects are intentional and contribute to the artwork’s individuality.

This is one of my newest crystalline pieces—silver crystals floating across a deep red glossy base, created over a red slip and fired to bring out that glassy depth and crystalline detail. The inside is finished in a glossy white glaze, giving a clean, bright contrast and making it easy to use for fresh stems.
Crystalline glazing is part art, part science—no two firings are ever the same. The crystal “blooms” are naturally varied, which is exactly what makes this vase special. It’s a striking piece on a console, dining table or shelf, and it looks beautiful styled with a simple floral arrangement.
You will receive the exact vase pictured.

A tiny statement piece: soft teal “galaxy” glaze with dramatic crystalline rings, in a perfectly rounded mini form.
This handmade mini crystalline decorative vase is wheel-thrown and finished in a galaxy-style glaze—a soft semi-matte teal-green base scattered with dramatic crystal “planet” rings in smoky charcoal and steel tones. Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, with patterns that can never be repeated exactly.
Crystalline firing is where the magic (and the science) happens. In the kiln, the glaze is taken to high temperature and then carefully cooled and held through specific stages so crystals can grow within the glaze surface. The size, placement, and “halo” edges of each crystal are influenced by the kiln atmosphere, timing, and heat-work—so every firing is unique, and every result is a beautiful surprise.
At 10cm tall and 9cm wide at the belly, it’s perfect for styling a sideboard, shelf, bedside table or desk—beautiful on its own or with a single stem or tiny posy. Made in my Melbourne studio, Australia, it’s a special piece for collectors and a memorable, unique gift for lovers of handmade ceramics.

This large, handmade crystalline ceramic vase is a true statement piece.
Finished in a luminous white glaze with soft gold-toned crystal blooms, this vase carries an ethereal, almost floral quality. The crystalline formations have developed organically during the firing process, creating layered petal-like patterns that radiate across the rounded belly and into the flared rim.
Subtle soft grey-blue transitions appear beneath the surface glaze, adding depth and quiet movement to the form.
At 23cm tall, this is a substantial, sculptural piece designed to stand alone or hold a dramatic floral arrangement.
Height: 23 cm
Belly width: 14 cm
Rim diameter: 13 cm
Material: Porcelain
Technique: Wheel-thrown and crystalline glaze fired
Finish: Glossy
Watertight: Yes
Crystalline glazing is both artistic and scientific.
After the initial high-temperature firing, the kiln is held at precise temperatures to allow crystal growth within the glaze. The gold and ivory blooms form naturally and cannot be controlled or replicated exactly.
No two crystalline pieces are ever the same.
Each vase is:
Thrown on the wheel
Trimmed and refined by hand
Carefully glazed
Fired using a programmed crystalline schedule
This is slow-made, handmade pottery created in my Melbourne studio.
Elegant flared rim
Narrow sculpted neck
Generous rounded belly
White gloss base with gold crystalline blooms
Subtle interior crystal formation is visible inside the rim

Statement centrepiece
Wedding or engagement gift
Luxury housewarming gift
Gallery display piece
Perfect for modern, Hamptons, or minimalist interiors
This vase reads refined, calm and quietly dramatic.
Created in my Melbourne studio as part of Buxton Pottery’s crystalline collection.
Every piece reflects my long-standing passion for combining organic crystal growth with precise kiln control.
The small raised area on the rim is a natural result of the crystalline firing process, in which an excess of zinc and silica has gathered to form the crystal structure.
Watertight and suitable for fresh flowers
Hand wash recommended
Avoid abrasive cleaners
Display out of direct prolonged sunlight
Carefully packaged for safe delivery.
Dispatch within 2–3 business days.
