This unique, crystalline glazed Christmas tree bauble is 5.5 cm long, 5.5 cm at its widest, and perfect for celebrating with family.
These ornaments come with a hook for hanging and are light in weight, but strong enough to survive a short fall.
It was made in my studio in Melbourne and has been glazed with crystalline glazes. The firing process uses a complex schedule with several temperature ramps to create different crystal growth formations. The kiln is fired to a maximum temperature of around 1300c (cone 10) and then cooled to specific holding temperatures to allow crystals to form in the glaze.
