This handmade ceramic herb stripper is a practical little kitchen tool for preparing fresh herbs.

Use the holes to strip leaves from rosemary, thyme, parsley, coriander, basil and other herbs. Simply thread the stem through the most suitable hole and gently pull to remove the leaves.

Each piece is wheel-thrown and glazed by hand in my Melbourne pottery studio. It is finished in a soft blue-grey glaze, which naturally varies from firing to firing. Some pieces may have a softer blue tone, while others may lean slightly grey or green, with different speckling and glaze movement.

This makes each herb stripper one of a kind.

Materials

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.

Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.

All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Shipping & Returns

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.

As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.

Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.

If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Dimensions

Approximate dimensions are listed in the product description for each individual piece. As every item is handmade, slight variations in size and capacity may occur.

Care Instructions

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.

Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
