Soft blue and white glazes flow over this petite handmade stoneware bud vase, creating gentle variations in colour across its rounded form. At just 9cm high, it is a lovely little vase for a single bloom, a few garden flowers or a small sprig of foliage.
Hand thrown and individually glazed in my Melbourne studio, its compact size makes it an easy piece to place on a bedside table, shelf, desk or small corner of the home.

As this vase is individually handmade, the subtle variations in form, glaze and surface are part of its character.
Handmade & One of a Kind
The glaze moves and develops during firing, creating delicate changes from creamy white through soft misty blue to the deeper blue around the base.
These natural glaze variations mean that no two handmade pieces will ever be exactly alike.

A Little Vase for a Little Something
Sometimes you don't need a large bunch of flowers. This small bud vase is just the right size for a flower picked from the garden, a few tiny blooms or a favourite piece of foliage.
It also looks lovely displayed empty, where its simple form and softly layered glaze can be enjoyed on their own.
Care
Hand washing is recommended to help preserve the finish of your handmade pottery. Avoid sudden extremes of temperature and thermal shock.

Most Buxton Pottery pieces are made from high-fired stoneware clay, chosen for its strength, durability and suitability for everyday use.
Crystalline pottery pieces are generally made from high-fired porcelain, which provides a smooth, light-coloured surface that allows the crystal glazes to develop clearly during firing.
All pieces are individually handmade and finished with food-safe ceramic glazes.

Orders are carefully packed and dispatched from Melbourne within 2–3 business days. Australia-wide shipping is calculated at checkout.
As each piece is handmade, natural variations in shape, colour and glaze are part of its individual character and are not considered faults.
Buxton Pottery does not accept returns for change of mind. If you are unhappy with your order, please contact me so I can discuss the issue with you.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact me promptly with photos of the item and packaging. Depending on availability, I will arrange a replacement or refund.

Microwave safe and dishwasher safe, although hand washing is recommended to help preserve the glaze finish.
Avoid sudden temperature changes, such as moving pottery directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven. Buxton Pottery is not thermal-shock ware and should not be exposed to rapid changes in temperature.
