This handmade pottery olive oil bottle is crafted from white stoneware and is suitable for any kitchen. It is wheel-thrown and coated with a food-safe glaze, making it practical and safe for cooking and eating. The beautiful green and blue mottled glaze is high-fired, ensuring that it is durable and water-resistant. This is an excellent addition to any kitchen, providing a touch of colour and rustic charm.
A ceramic cruet is an excellent container to store olive oil because it can block light, air, and heat. This is due to the thick ceramic walls that help protect the oil from these elements. However, if you are going to use a cruet, it is essential to wash it thoroughly before each refill. Otherwise, you risk mixing older oil with fresh one, which can affect the oil's taste.
It is also suitable as a vinegar or salad dressing pouring bottle
