The coloured glazes are inspired by Australian landscapes and coastlines, paying homage to the vibrant eucalyptus greens. The mug is coated with a glossy oatmeal glaze on the inside.

All our ceramics are fired to very high temperatures, making them very strong and durable. All of our pieces ~ except for gold lustre decorations ~ are dishwasher & oven safe. Take care to avoid sudden temperature changes (for example, from the oven to a cold benchtop), as this is likely to cause thermal shock, which can result in the piece cracking.

Crystalline glazes have a firing process using a complex schedule with several temperature ramps to create different crystal growth formations. The kiln is fired to a maximum temperature of around 1300c ( and then cooled to specific holding temperatures to allow crystals to form in the glaze. It can take from 3 to 6 hours to grow the crystals in the cooling phase.
